I thought I could clean it up and use it to display our vegetables at farmers markets.
The picture below includes Henry the farm cat for scale. (And a picture of our other farm cat Cleo just for fun.) Matt made some frozen custard using our Crowell Farm eggs and honey. Yum! Crowell Farm Frozen Custard Recipe:
6 eggs (whisked) 2/3 cup honey 4 cups milk 2 Tbsp. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 1 pinch salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Mix all ingredients and heat to 160 degrees on the stove while constantly stirring. Place the pan in an ice bath, and continue stirring until cool. Chill in the fridge overnight. Put in ice cream mixer until firm. Today was very warm and we have had a small break from the wet weather, so it was also not terribly muddy. This was great since we has some family visiting this weekend. Matt was even able to get the tractor started (it has trouble in the cold). Our niece seemed to enjoy the ride, even though it did not last very long. (We had to cut it short because although it was not as muddy as it had been, the ground was still quite soft, and the tractor was leaving giant ruts in the yard.)
I was glad we got to enjoy this time outside, because we are back to winter weather in a few days with snow and ice in the forecast. Hooray (insert sarcastic tone here) https://photos.app.goo.gl/XDwJbfDRg6PdMY5Y2
