We are having some concrete poured in one part of the barn (it was just a dirt floor before). This is the part that houses the tractor and other equipment.
This new "toy" helped Matt dig a trench to the barn (for electrical and water lines) in a few hours instead of the weeks it took by hand when he had to dig a trench (for the same reasons) to the chicken coop. Great tool!
This is a big deal. When we got the farm back in 2014 the old farmhouse was a wreck, including the plumbing. This is the first time we have had a working sink in the kitchen.
We have been using the old farmhouse mainly for storage all of the this time, but we are slowly getting it fixed up. Now I can wash eggs out here! We've been working the farmhouse kitchen a little at a time as we can. Yesterday we put the ceiling sheetrock up. Today, Matt put the lights in and moved the water heater to the kitchen (it will be in the pantry). |
